The Management Committee has been in place since 2002 when Affiliated Managers Group (“AMG”) invested in Third Avenue. The International Value strategy’s flexible mandate takes an opportunistic, all-cap, and benchmark-agnostic approach to non-US equity investing. Opportunities are evaluated with an emphasis on financial strength and an ability to compound net asset value, while our price-consciousness restricts our investment activity to securities priced at significant discounts to our conservative estimates of net asset value.
